Senior Buyer

The Senior Buyer is responsible for the tactical and operational procurement activities within Amacx. The role ensures continuity of supply, competitive pricing, and accurate procurement administration. The Senior Buyer manages supplier relationships, supports forecasting processes, and contributes to improving procurement data and workflows.

The role focuses on strengthening supplier partnerships, optimizing costs and margins, and building scalable procurement and supply chain processes that support Amacx’s international growth. The Senior Buyer also leads the Supply Chain Planner.

  • Manage the full purchasing cycle: sourcing, ordering, follow-up, and delivery tracking.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships across the EU to guarantee quality, reliable delivery, and competitive conditions.
  • Conduct tactical negotiations on pricing, delivery terms, and contracts within established frameworks.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Planner to align procurement with demand planning and inventory management.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data in the ERP system (pricing, lead times, product details, etc.).
  • Monitor supplier performance (quality, delivery reliability, adherence to agreements) and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and drive practical improvements in everyday procurement workflows; contribute to automation and efficiency where possible.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align procurement activities with commercial and operational priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies in all procurement activities.

What you offer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commercial Economics, Business Administration, or a similar field.
  • Four to six years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain, ideally in FMCG, retail, or international trade.
  • Experience with ERP systems and digital procurement or supply chain tools.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills in a European context.
  • Analytical, precise, and data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English.
  • Proactive, pragmatic approach and comfortable working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
