Amacx Turbo Chew Bar
With the launch of the Amacx Turbo Chew Bar, the Turbo Line is truly complete. In this blog, you can read that the Turbo products are ideal for achieving very high carbohydrate intakes without complaints. Intakes of up to 120 grams of carbohydrates per hour are the new game-changer during efforts of extreme duration and intensity. The introduction of our new chew bar makes it even easier to achieve these breakthrough carbohydrate intakes with a mix of various Turbo products.
Customizing your endurance nutrition
The new Turbo Chew Bar is a gummy bar developed in close collaboration with Team Jumbo-Visma. The bar contains 40 grams of carbohydrates, which have a ratio of 1:0.8 between glucose and fructose. Recent scientific insights show that this ratio makes it possible to achieve very high intakes of 100 to 120 grams per hour. Thanks to the soft texture, it is very easy to take the bar during a (heavy) effort. Because the chew bar hardly contains proteins, fats and fibers, the energy is quickly and easily absorbed into the body. This keeps the risk of stomach or intestinal complaints as low as possible, despite the very high carbohydrate intake. Especially if the stomach and intestines are well trained to absorb these amounts during exercise.
Turbo Line
In addition to the chew bar, the Amacx Turbo Line already had various gels (40 grams of carbohydrates) and drinks (40 or 80 grams of carbohydrates). Because the composition of all Turbo products is exactly matched, you can adjust the combination of Turbo products to your personal preferences during your toughest training sessions or competitions. After all, one person prefers solid food, while another will feel better with predominantly drinks or gels.
Below are some examples to arrive at an intake of 120 grams per hour.
Turbo Drink – 80 grams in bottle
- Drink 1 bottle of Turbo Drink per hour (80 g/h)
- Take 1 Turbo Gel or Turbo Chew Bar per hour (40 g/h)
= 120 gram
Turbo Drink – 40 grams in bottle
- Drink 1 bottle of Turbo Drink per hour (40 grams)
- Take 1 Turbo Gel or Turbo Chew Bar every half hour (80 g/h)
= 120 gram
Water bottle
- Bidon with water
- Take 1 Turbo Gel or Turbo Chew Bar every 20 minutes (120 g/h)
3x = 120 gram
Turbo-Charge your performance
Various studies show that the absorption and actual use of carbohydrates from drinks, gels or bars is just as fast and efficient and that there is no distinction between these products. Certainly not if a bar contains few fats, proteins and fibers, such as the Turbo Chew Bar. The most important thing here is to test your racing nutrition plan regularly in training to find out what works best for you, and to train your stomach and intestines to process this properly.
Summary
- The Turbo Chew Bar contains 40 grams of carbohydrates in a 1:0.8 ratio of glucose to fructose. This ensures that the chew bar can contribute to properly absorb and utilize very high carbohydrate intakes (100-120 grams per hour).
- The composition is precisely tailored to the other products in the Turbo Line, allowing you to use the combination of these products as you wish and prefer.
- The bar is easy to take and very easily digestible due to the low amount of protein, fat and fiber.
